OMEGA vintage ladies watch, 1947, working and serviced

OMEGA vintage ladies watch, Swiss Made with in-house 243 movement, 20 mm across excluding the crown, hand-wound (mechanical, no battery!), working fine and serviced. Its serial number dates it to 1947. Ref. 11043-1.

Omega, the legendary Swiss watchmaker, was founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt. The company truly took its iconic name in 1903. While famous for men’s watches, Omega also has a rich history of producing elegant women’s timepieces. The Caliber 243 is a prime example of this. Produced in the 1940s and 1950s, this 17-jewel movement was renowned for its slim profile and reliability. It was the backbone of many refined dress watches from Omega’s collections during that era. Vintage Omega watches housing the Caliber 243 are valued by collectors for their classic, minimalist design and the quality of their small-scale engineering.

Gold-plated case with original Omega-signed crown – please check the pictures. The watch also features a new brown leather strap. It will fit wrists of up to 18 cm. Lug width is 10 mm. Water resistance has not been tested, therefore it must be treated as NON-waterproof.

As with any other vintage mechanical watch, exact accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on many factors, including your kind of use. It has been regulated in different positions to minimize the average time gain/loss. The watch has been serviced in November 2025.
