CITIZEN vintage watch, with in-house 8260A manual movement with date indication, made in Japan in the 1970s, case of 32.5 mm excluding the crown, hand-wound (mechanical, no battery!), working fine and serviced.
Citizen Watch Company, a major Japanese watchmaker, originated from the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, founded in 1918. The company officially became “Citizen Watch Co., Ltd.” in 1930. Citizen is famed for innovations like Japan’s first truly water-resistant watch in 1959 and the world’s first titanium-cased watch in 1970. Vintage Citizen watches are sought after for their technological prowess, unique designs, and reliability.
This piece has a stainless steel case and original signed crown and bracelet. It will fit wrists of up to 19.5 cm. Water resistance has not been tested, therefore it must be treated as NON-waterproof. The watch will be delivered in a new padded box as seen in the photos, for a better protection during transportation and for a smart and safe storing once you receive it.
As with any other vintage mechanical watch, exact accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on many factors, including your kind of use. It has been regulated in different positions to minimize the average time gain/loss. The watch has been serviced in July 2025.
