WW2 British Army CYMA pocket watch, working and serviced

British Army CYMA pocket watch, with Cyma 775 movement, Swiss made in the late 1930s for use by the British Army during World War II, case of 52 mm, hand-wound (mechanical, no battery!), working fine and serviced.

Cyma, a revered Swiss watch brand, was founded in 1862 with a factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Vintage Cyma watches are particularly appealing to collectors due to their robust movements and classic designs.

The metal case has scratches and dots – please check the detailed pictures. The caseback is engraved with the arrow (it means “Property of the Crown”), G.S.T.P. (General Service Trade Pattern or General Service Time Piece) and M71787 (issue number).
The enamel dial shows some hairlines and the numerals and hands still have the old lume material. The watch also features a new metallic chain. Water resistance has not been tested, therefore it must be treated as NON-waterproof. This watch is a piece of history and should be treated as such!
The watch will be delivered in a new padded box as seen in the photos, for a better protection during transportation and for a smart and safe storing once you receive it.

As with any other vintage mechanical watch, exact accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on many factors, including your kind of use. It has been regulated in different positions to minimize the average time gain/loss. After the purchase, you can let me know if you will be using it with dial up or with pendant up so that I regulate it accordingly before shipping. The watch has been serviced in September 2025.
