Description

OMEGA vintage watch, Swiss Made with in-house 30T2 SCPC movement, 38 mm across excluding the crown (one of the largest manual watch cases ever made by Omega), hand-wound (mechanical, no battery!), working fine and serviced. Its serial number dates it to 1947. Ref. 2256/1B.

Omega, the legendary Swiss watchmaker, was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The company truly took its iconic name in 1903, inspired by their revolutionary 1894 “Omega” calibre.
Caliber 30T2 SCPC is one of the most historically significant manual-wind movements in Omega’s history, renowned for its exceptional robustness and accuracy. The designation “SC” indicates a central seconds hand (seconde au centre), while “PC” denotes the inclusion of shock protection (parachoc). The 30T2 SCPC was widely used in both elegant dress watches and, famously, in military timepieces supplied to the Allied forces during World War II, often being regulated to chronometer standards. Vintage Omega watches featuring the Caliber 30T2 SCPC are highly sought after by collectors for their historical importance, reliable engineering, and status as a legendary foundation of the brand’s mechanical excellence.

The stainless steel case and caseback have some scratches while the dial shows a nice patina – please check the pictures. The watch also features a new Hirsch black leather strap. It will fit wrists of up to 20 cm. Lug width is 19 mm. Water resistance has not been tested, therefore it must be treated as NON-waterproof.
The watch will be delivered in its original Omega box as seen in the pictures.

As with any other vintage mechanical watch, exact accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on many factors, including your kind of use. It has been regulated in different positions to minimize the average time gain/loss. The watch has been serviced in November 2025.

FREE registered (tracked) shipment worldwide. VAT is included in the price (European Union).
