LONGINES vintage silver pocket watch, 1915, 49 mm, working and serviced

LONGINES vintage silver hunter pocket watch, with Longines 18.68N movement, Swiss made in 1915 (according to its serial number), case of 49 mm, hand-wound (mechanical, no battery!), working fine and serviced.

Longines, the prestigious Swiss watchmaker, was founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier by Auguste Agassiz. The brand, officially named “Longines” in 1867, quickly rose to prominence through its high-quality pocket watches. These early timepieces, featuring robust in-house movements (developed from 1867), were crucial for precision timing in sports and essential for railway companies and explorers. Vintage Longines pocket watches remain highly collectible for their historical significance and craftsmanship.

The silver case has some scratches as can be seen in the photos. The enamel dial has a few hairlines and a repair at 8 – please refer to the pictures. The watch also features a new metallic chain. Water resistance has not been tested, therefore it must be treated as NON-waterproof.
The watch will be delivered in a new padded box as seen in the photos, for a better protection during transportation and for a smart and safe storing once you receive it.

Time is set by taking out the flange at 4 and turning the pendant. As with any other vintage mechanical watch, exact accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on many factors, including your kind of use. It has been regulated in different positions to minimize the average time gain/loss. After the purchase, you can let me know if you will be using it with dial up or with pendant up so that I regulate it accordingly before shipping. The watch has been fully serviced in July 2025.
