1944 WW2 CERTINA vintage watch, 34.2 mm, working and serviced

CERTINA vintage watch, Swiss made in 1944 (according to its serial number), with the rare in-house KF330B movement, 34.2 mm across excluding the crown, bitone copperrish dial, hand-wound (mechanical, no battery!), working fine and serviced.

Certina, the legendary Swiss watch brand, was founded in 1888 in Grenchen by Adolf and Alfred Kurth. While initially operating under other names, the brand officially adopted “Certina” (from the Latin “certus,” meaning “certain”) in 1938.
Certina produced a wide array of reliable timepieces, including many with manual-wind movements that were central to their early success and continued production. Among their notable manual-wind movements is the KF330B, a rare variant of KF330, known for their accuracy and longevity. Vintage Certina watches with manual-wind movements are highly valued by collectors for their classic aesthetics, sturdy construction, and the direct connection they offer to the golden age of Swiss mechanical watchmaking.

The chromed case has dents and signs of wear – please check the photos. The bitone dial shows a nice patina. The watch also features a new Hirsh brown leather strap. It will fit wrists of up to 21 cm. Lug width is 17 mm.
Water resistance has not been tested, therefore it must be treated as NON-waterproof.
The watch will be delivered in a new padded box as seen in the photos, for a better protection during transportation and for a smart and safe storing once you receive it.

As with any other vintage mechanical watch, exact accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on many factors, including your kind of use. It has been regulated in different positions to minimize the average time gain/loss. The watch has been fully serviced in August 2025.
