OMEGA art deco vintage watch, Swiss Made with in-house 20F movement, tank case of 22×41.5 mm, hand-wound (mechanical, no battery!), working fine and serviced. Its serial number dates it to 1934: a true collector’s piece!
Omega, the legendary Swiss watchmaker, was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The company truly took its iconic name in 1903, inspired by their revolutionary 1894 “Omega” calibre.
Caliber 20F is a movement of significant historical importance, representing Omega’s pioneering efforts in the early development of the modern wristwatch. Produced primarily from the 1920s into the 1930s, this small, manual-wind movement was one of the early workhorse calibers that enabled the transition from pocket watches to wristwatches for men. The Caliber 20F was utilized in many of Omega’s early dress watches and early cushion or rectangular-cased models, proving its adaptability and reliability during a pivotal period in horological design. Vintage Omega watches featuring the Caliber 20F are highly valued by collectors for their historical significance and their tangible link to the genesis of the wristwatch.
This piece has a steel case and the unrestored original dial shows some signs of its age – please check the pictures. The watch also features a new black leather strap for fixed lugs. It will fit wrists of up to 20 cm. Lug width is 17 mm. Water resistance has not been tested, therefore it must be treated as NON-waterproof.
The watch will be delivered in a new padded box as seen in the photos, for a better protection during transportation and for a smart and safe storing once you receive it.
As with any other vintage mechanical watch, exact accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on many factors, including your kind of use. It has been regulated in different positions to minimize the average time gain/loss. The watch has been serviced in August 2025.
