1969 SEIKO vintage watch, ref. 66-7100, working and serviced

Rare SEIKO vintage watch, reference 66-7100, with in-house 66B movement, Japan made in 1969 (according to its serial number), case of 35.5 mm, hand-wound (mechanical, no battery!), working fine and serviced.

Seiko, a powerhouse in Japanese watchmaking, began its journey in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori opened a shop in Tokyo, officially adopting the “Seiko” brand name for its watches in 1924. Caliber 66B is a robust and reliable manual-wind movement produced during the 1960s and 1970s. With 17 jewels and a central sweep seconds hand, this caliber stands out for its technical simplicity and great durability. Collectors appreciate watches with the Caliber 66B as perfect examples of mid-century Japanese functionality and mechanical mastery.

Stainless steel case – please check the photos. The lume of hands and indexes still glows a bit after al these years! The watch also features a new brown leather strap. It will fit wrists of up to 20 cm. Water resistance has not been tested, therefore it must be treated as NON-waterproof.
The watch will be delivered in a new padded box as seen in the photos, for a better protection during transportation and for a smart and safe storing once you receive it.

As with any other vintage mechanical watch, exact accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on many factors, including your kind of use. It has been regulated in different positions to minimize the average time gain/loss. The watch has been serviced recently.
