WALTHAM 8 days vintage clock/watch for use in car dashboards or as travel clock, Made in the USA in 1920 (according to its serial number), huge case of 71 mm, 20 mm thick and weight of 265 g, hand-wound (mechanical, no battery!), working fine and serviced.

Waltham Watch Company, a pioneering American watchmaker, was founded in 1850 in Waltham, Massachusetts. They revolutionized watch manufacturing with interchangeable parts, making timepieces more accessible. Producing their first successful movement in 1853, Waltham became a key supplier for railroads and even created the first mass-produced wristwatch during WWI. Though the American company closed in 1957, vintage Walthams are highly collectible for their historical importance and quality.

Movement data: Grade 8 Day (that means the power reserve is 8 days when fully wound), model 1910, size 37s, 7 jewels. The bezel is of screw-in type. The metal dial is in an excellent condition – please check the pictures. The watch also features a new plastic display stand.

As with any other vintage mechanical watch, exact accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on many factors, including your kind of use. It has been regulated in different positions to minimize the average time gain/loss. The watch has been serviced in July 2025.
